Dr Paul Le Roux
Dr. Paul le Roux completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Cape Town. He did his two year fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Cape Town / Groote Schuur Hospital, and is a registered Sub-Specialist in Reproductive Medicine. He received numerous merit awards for excellence in his clinical work and research during his training. His original research work in endocrinology has been published in leading international journals, and he has presented many papers at international congresses.
His special interests are IVF, egg donation, reproductive endocrinology and advanced endoscopic surgery. He is Director and CEO of Cape Fertility Inc.
Dr. le Roux is President of SASREG (Southern African Society for Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endoscopy). He was elected President in 2011, and again in 2014 for a second term.
He is Chair of the Accreditation Committee of SASREG, and wrote the National Guidelines on Gamete Donation in South Africa. He advises the National Department of Health on legislation on behalf of the SASREG society.
Dr. le Roux is on the editorial board of the IFFS (International Federation of Fertility Societies) Surveillance Committee, and also on the scientific board of the IFFS. He has co-authored the last two triennial reports from IFFS Surveillance Committee.
Dr. le Roux is married and has two lovely daughters.
